Iranian Egyptian Foreign Ministers Discuss Regional Tensions in Phone Call

Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, discussed regional developments following the aggression by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran in a phone call on Tuesday.
During the conversation, Iran's Foreign Minister pointed to the full readiness of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran to exercise the legitimate right to self-defense and respond firmly to the aggressions and crimes of the United States and the Israeli regime. He emphasized that Iran's attacks on American bases and assets in the region are carried out within the framework of the legitimate right to self-defense and in response to aggression. He further stated that, based on its policy of good neighborliness, the Islamic Republic of Iran seeks the continuation of friendly and brotherly relations with regional countries and advocates for joint regional cooperation to ensure stability and security without foreign interference.
In this conversation, the Egyptian Foreign Minister expressed grave concern over the increasing tensions in the region and stressed Egypt's efforts to help de-escalate tensions through diplomacy.
