Iranian Foreign Minister Speaker of Lebanese Parliament hold phone conversation

Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of Iran, held a phone conversation with Nabih Berri, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, to discuss and exchange views on the consequences of the military aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as the extensive aggressions of the occupying regime against Lebanon.

 Araghchi, while providing a report on the latest developments related to the American-Zionist aggression against Iran and the legitimate and decisive responses of the country’s armed forces, commended the principled stance of the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament in support of Lebanon’s national unity. He once again emphasized Iran’s principled support for Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and identified the preservation and strengthening of internal cohesion as essential in the current sensitive circumstances to confront the plots of external actors against the interests of the Lebanese people.

 The Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, in turn, while providing explanations about the latest status of the Zionist regime’s attacks on Lebanon and the consequences of these aggressive actions, stated that the regime’s objective is to destroy Lebanon’s vital infrastructure and forcibly displace Lebanese citizens from their areas.

 During this phone conversation, the two sides emphasized the importance of strengthening and expanding bilateral relations.
