Iranian Saudi Foreign Ministers hold phone conversation talk regional developments

Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Faisal bin Farhan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, held a phone conversation on Monday.

 Iran's Foreign Minister, while explaining the latest regional developments following the announcement of a ceasefire and the risks arising from provocative American actions, briefed the Saudi Foreign Minister on the Iran-US negotiations in Islamabad.

 Araghchi, while emphasizing Iran's responsible approach with good faith in accepting the ceasefire and entering negotiations, stated: "Unfortunately, we witnessed the continued excessive demands of the American side in the negotiations, and this prevented any result from being achieved."

 The Saudi Foreign Minister underscored his country's support for diplomatic efforts and expressed hope that this process would lead to a complete end to the war and the return of lasting security and stability to the region.
