Iran’s FM meets Pakistani Prime Minister in Islamabad discusses bilateral ties regional developments

In this meeting, which was also attended by Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries in various fields, as well as regional and international developments.

 

The Prime Minister of Pakistan, referring to the determination and resolve of the high-ranking officials of the two countries to continue the process of ever-increasing enhancement of bilateral relations and cooperation, as well as coordination and cooperation at the multilateral level and in international organizations, expressed confidence that this process will continue with strength and in the interest of the two neighboring and Muslim countries.

 

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, referring to the emphasis of the Supreme Leader and President Pezeshkian on comprehensively improving relations with neighbors, particularly Pakistan, underlined the special place of Pakistan in Iran's foreign policy and relations, and Iran's determination to further develop relations between the two countries.

 

Araghchi, while appreciating the sincere efforts of senior Pakistani government officials to end the imposed war by the US and the Zionist regime against Iran and establish a ceasefire, as well as their good hosting of the talks, elaborated on Iran's principled positions regarding the latest developments related to the ceasefire and the complete end of the imposed war against Iran.

 

The Foreign Minister also, referring to the continued crimes of the Zionist regime in occupied Palestine and its repeated aggressions against the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of Lebanon, commended the positions of the Pakistani government and people in supporting and standing in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian nation, as well as Pakistan's special attention to implementing the ceasefire agreement regarding Lebanon.
