Iran strongly condemns attack on Sumud convoy and capture of Gaza-protest activists

Esmail Baghaei Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the Zionist regimes assault on the ships of the Sumud 2 humanitarian flotilla in international waters and the violent capture of activists supporting the Palestinian people as an act of maritime piracy and terrorism and strongly condemned it.

Esmail Baghaei, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, described the Zionist regime's assault on the ships of the "Sumud 2" humanitarian flotilla in international waters and the violent capture of activists supporting the Palestinian people as an act of maritime piracy and terrorism, and strongly condemned it.

Referring to the humanitarian nature of the international "Sumud" campaign—which has been formed with the participation of supporters of the Palestinian cause from dozens of countries to break the inhumane siege of Gaza and deliver humanitarian aid to the oppressed Palestinian people—the Foreign Ministry Spokesperson emphasized: "The attack on the 'Sumud' convoy is not merely an assault on a rescue and humanitarian mission, but also a blow to the awakened conscience of humanity and shared human values."

The Foreign Ministry Spokesperson stressed the responsibility of the international community, the United Nations, and all governments to condemn the ongoing lawlessness of the Zionist regime, to hold the occupiers accountable, and to provide comprehensive support for the humanitarian campaign in support of the people of Gaza and the global demand for the immediate release of the captives.
