During the brief meeting, the ambassadors of Uruguay and Brazil also made a symbolic gesture, presenting the jerseys of their national football teams to the Iranian foreign minister amid the enthusiastic atmosphere surrounding the FIFA World Cup competitions.

Referring to the considerable potential for cooperation between Iran and Latin American countries, the Iranian foreign minister emphasized the need to expand collaboration across various fields. He also expressed appreciation for the initiative taken by the Brazilian and Uruguayan ambassadors, describing sports diplomacy as an important tool for fostering closer ties among nations.
