Head and members of Hamas political leadership council meet with Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran
Mohammad Darwish Head of the Leadership Council of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) along with a number of senior Hamas officials who have traveled to Tehran to attend the funeral and farewell ceremony for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution met on Saturday afternoon with Seyed Abbas Araghchi Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Mohammad Darwish, Head of the Leadership Council of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), along with a number of senior Hamas officials who have traveled to Tehran to attend the funeral and farewell ceremony for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, met on Saturday afternoon with Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
During the meeting, the Hamas delegation extended its condolences to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the Government, and the people of Iran over the martyrdom of Imam Khamenei, a number of his family members, as well as senior political and military officials and Iranian citizens who were martyred during the U.S.-Zionist imposed war against Iran. On behalf of themselves and the Palestinian people, they also expressed solidarity with the Government and people of Iran.
The Head of Hamas's Political Leadership praised the principled and courageous positions of the martyred Imam Khamenei in support of the sacred cause of Palestine and his backing of the Palestinian people's legitimate resistance against the occupation and the crimes of the Zionist regime in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
Congratulating the courageous Iranian nation and the powerful Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran on their major victory on the battlefield in defending Iran's territorial integrity and national sovereignty, as well as the success of the Iranian negotiators in the diplomatic arena and the valuable achievements they secured, he described these victories as victories for the entire Axis of Resistance and the Muslim world.
The Hamas delegation also presented a report on the extremely inhumane conditions imposed on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, as well as the continued crimes of the Zionist regime in the West Bank. They described the silence and inaction of the international community in the face of the genocide of the Palestinian people as catastrophic and stressed the urgent need for the international community to take immediate action to halt the crimes of the occupying regime and bring the Zionist regime to justice.
For his part, Foreign Minister Araghchi thanked the Hamas representatives and other Palestinian resistance groups for attending the farewell ceremony for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution. He reaffirmed the Islamic Republic of Iran's principled position of continuing its support for the Palestinian cause until the Palestinian people realize their right to self-determination and establish an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
