Iranian Japanese FMs hold phone talks on bilateral ties regional developments

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi held a telephone conversation at noon on Tuesday to discuss bilateral relations as well as the latest regional and international developments with particular focus on the ongoing negotiations and exchange of views.

During the call, Araghchi briefed his Japanese counterpart on the latest developments in the diplomatic process aimed at establishing regional peace and stability.

The two sides also stressed the importance of continued coordination and joint cooperation to address the insecurity imposed on the Strait of Hormuz as a result of the United States' acts of aggression.

The foreign ministers of Iran and Japan also exchanged views on following up on a number of consular matters.
