Iran Mauritania FMs discuss regional developments bilateral ties
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Mauritanian Foreign Minister Mohamed Salem Ould Merzouk held a telephone conversation on Wednesday afternoon discussing the latest regional developments and bilateral relations.

Araghchi underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation among Islamic countries, particularly within the framework of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), to support Palestine and counter Israeli regime plots targeting the interests of the Islamic world.
Ould Merzouk conveyed the greetings of the Mauritanian president to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, stressing Iran’s important and influential role in the OIC. He also highlighted Mauritania’s commitment to strengthening bilateral engagement and cooperation with Iran, both bilaterally and within the OIC.
The two sides reaffirmed their readiness to further develop bilateral relations and to cooperate and extend mutual support in international forums.
