Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun held a phone call on Wednesday afternoon to discuss developments in Lebanon and the region.

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun held a phone call on Wednesday afternoon to discuss developments in Lebanon and the region.

During the conversation, Araghchi emphasized the Islamic Republic of Iran’s special concern over the need to halt the Israeli regime’s attacks and aggression against Lebanon and end its occupation of areas in southern Lebanon. He also briefed the Lebanese president on Iran’s diplomatic activities and efforts in recent weeks and days.

The Lebanese president stressed the priority and necessity of diplomatic solutions to regional crises.

The two sides also discussed the importance of expanding bilateral relations between the governments of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Lebanon, as well as continuing contacts and dialogue between officials of the two countries.
