Iran’s acting FM holds phone conversation with top Omani diplomat ,talks security, Haniyeh assassination
In continuation of his phone consultations with top diplomats from various countries including regional nations Iran’s Acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri held talks with Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi the Foreign Minister of Oman about the latest developments concerning the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh the leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) by the Zionist regime and the violation of Iran’s territorial integrity.
In continuation of his phone consultations with top diplomats from various countries, including regional nations, Iran’s Acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri held talks with Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi, the Foreign Minister of Oman, about the latest developments concerning the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), by the Zionist regime and the violation of Iran’s territorial integrity.
Bagheri, expressing gratitude for the presence of the Omani delegation at the inauguration ceremony of Iran’s new president, emphasized: “The Zionist regime, by crossing all red lines and committing a blatant terrorist act in assassinating Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political bureau of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, and violating the territorial integrity and national security of the Islamic Republic of Iran, has seriously endangered regional stability and security. Therefore, Iran will exercise its inherent and legitimate right to take reciprocal action and impose severe punishment on the Zionist regime.”
Bagheri added: “In this context, the Islamic Republic of Iran has called for an emergency meeting of the foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to address this clear terrorist crime and the violation of the territorial integrity and national security of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi, the Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman, also condemned the assassination of the head of Hamas’s political bureau and the action against the territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran by the Zionist regime. He stated: “Ismail Haniyeh stood at the forefront of the resistance axis against aggression and occupation in the region and made significant efforts to stop the Zionist genocide in Gaza.”
He also emphasized: “The Zionist regime must end its occupation, and the perpetrators of this crime must be punished.”
The Omani Foreign Minister concluded the conversation by expressing support for the proposal to hold a meeting of the foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, hoping that this meeting would be held as soon as possible.
