Foreign ministers of Iran Republic of Azerbaijan discuss regional developments over phone

The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyed Abbas Araghchi and the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov had a phone conversation on Thursday evening to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.

During the phone call, the two sides reviewed the agreements reached during the visit of the Iranian foreign minister to Baku on December 8 last year.

They emphasized the shared determination of both countries to strengthen bilateral relations and enhance cooperation on multilateral issues, including those related to the Caucasus region.
The Iranian foreign minister elaborated on the regional developments and the threats arising from the destructive interference of the US as well as the expansionist ambitions of the Zionist regime.

They stressed the shared responsibility of all regional countries to counter threats against regional peace and stability and to prevent any third party from exploiting their territories to threaten regional peace and stability.
