Following the interventionist and offensive remarks made by the German Chancellor against Iran, as well as the provocative positions adopted by German officials with regard to the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Axel Dittmann, Ambassador of Germany, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by Alireza Yousefi, Assistant to the Foreign Minister and Director General for Western Europe.
During the summons meeting, the strong protest of the Islamic Republic of Iran against the interventionist and irresponsible stances of German officials was formally conveyed to the German Ambassador.
Recalling Germany’s military support for the Baathist regime of Iraq, including the provision of chemical weapons, during the eight-year imposed war against Iran, and Germany’s failure to take any action to hold accountable and punish those responsible for the transfer of chemical weapons or to compensate for the damages and harm inflicted, the Director General for Western Europe stressed that Germany’s claims of concern for human rights are in no way consistent with its actual conduct.
Yousefi further referred to Germany’s all-out support for the genocide of the Palestinian people, as well as the offensive remarks made by German officials during the 12-day imposed war of the Israeli regime against Iran. He emphasized that the German Chancellor has no moral standing whatsoever to lecture on the human rights of the Iranian people.
Pointing to the unparalleled role of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps in combating terrorism and safeguarding Iran’s security and national sovereignty, the Director General for Western Europe underlined that any action aimed at labeling a component of the official armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran constitutes a clear violation of international law and an infringement upon Iran’s security and national sovereignty, and will undoubtedly be met with a response from Iran.
The German Ambassador stated that he would convey the points and messages received to Berlin.
