Iran condemns Israeli regimes continued violation of Somalias national sovereignty

Esmail Baghaei spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Israeli regimes appointment of a diplomatic envoy to the so-called Somaliland—a region that is part of the Federal Republic of Somalia—describing it as a clear sign of the Israeli regimes plot to destabilize Islamic countries and sow division among nations in the region.

Esmail Baghaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, condemned the Israeli regime's appointment of a diplomatic envoy to the so-called "Somaliland"—a region that is part of the Federal Republic of Somalia—describing it as a clear sign of the Israeli regime's plot to destabilize Islamic countries and sow division among nations in the region.

 

The Foreign Ministry spokesperson emphasized that this arbitrary act is in clear contradiction with the United Nations Charter and international law, and constitutes a violation of the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of an independent state.

 

The spokesperson also reminded the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the African Union, and all countries around the world of their responsibility to confront the Israeli regime's lawlessness, expansionism, and interference in the internal affairs of other nations.
