Speaking at the conclusion of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Foreign Ministers' Meeting, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said:
• The Shanghai Cooperation Organization is a progressive organization comprising major countries in the region that seek to counter the unilateral policies of the United States, the West, and Western institutions that attempt to impose their hegemonic policies on international relations.
• Today's discussions also focused primarily on confronting the unilateral policies of the United States and the West. In my speech, this was also the main theme, and I linked it to the United States' aggressive policies and, in particular, the act of aggression committed against our country.
• Consultations with Russia and China are ongoing and continuous. Whenever the opportunity arises, we regularly consult with our friends in China and Russia. Today also provided a good opportunity, and in my meetings with Wang Yi and Sergey Lavrov, we discussed many issues in considerable detail.
• Naturally, as a mediator, Pakistan has held discussions regarding initiatives and proposals. The issue between Iran and the United States is not the lack of a mediator; rather, the problem lies in the United States' approach.
• Iran has demonstrated that it will not submit to U.S. bullying, and we will in no way respond to the language of force, pressure, and threats.
• We are neither intimidated by threats nor will we yield to pressure, and we do not tolerate the language of threats. We have a principled policy, and we will continue to pursue it. Protecting the Iranian people and safeguarding Iran's interests in the Strait of Hormuz are among our fundamental principles, and we will continue to uphold them.
• As long as the legitimate goals and demands of the Iranian people are not realized, it is natural that we will continue our course.
