Iran FM sends congratulatory message to Pakistani counterpart on Independence Day

Seyed Abbas Araghchi Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran in a message to Muhammad Ishaq Dar Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan congratulated the government and the friendly and neighboring people of Pakistan on the 79th anniversary of the country’s independence.

Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a message to Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, congratulated the government and the friendly and neighboring people of Pakistan on the 79th anniversary of the country’s independence.

The text of the Iranian Foreign Minister’s message is as follows:

I extend my sincere congratulations to Your Excellency and to the noble and friendly government and people of Pakistan on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the independence of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

This auspicious occasion provides a valuable opportunity to recall the strong historical, cultural, civilizational, and people-to-people bonds between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan — bonds that serve as precious foundations for consolidating friendship and deepening cooperation between our two nations.

I firmly believe that the continuation of political and diplomatic consultations, along with the strengthening of economic, trade, border, security, and cultural cooperation, can pave the way for greater utilization of existing capacities and the advancement of the shared interests of both countries.

I pray to Almighty God for Your Excellency’s health and success, for the increasing pride, development, and prosperity of the government and people of Pakistan, and for the ever-greater durability, strength, and flourishing of the friendly relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
