Iranian Kyrgyz Foreign Ministers meet on sidelines of UN General Assembly

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi who has traveled to New York to attend the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly met with Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Zheenbek Kulubaev on Thursday afternoon. They exchanged views and held consultations on bilateral relations and the most important developments in Central Asia the Caucasus and West Asia.

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, who has traveled to New York to attend the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, met with Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Zheenbek Kulubaev on Thursday afternoon. They exchanged views and held consultations on bilateral relations and the most important developments in Central Asia, the Caucasus and West Asia.

Araghchi stressed the Islamic Republic of Iran’s determination to develop and deepen relations with Kyrgyzstan, within the framework of Iran’s approach to expanding ties with the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus, in all areas of mutual interest.

Araghchi also outlined the latest regional developments amid the continuation of the United States’ aggressive and interventionist actions, as well as its economic war against Iran, stressing that Iran would act with steadfastness and determination in defending its sovereignty, security and national interests.

The foreign ministers of Iran and Kyrgyzstan also held consultations on following up on agreements reached by the two countries’ presidents and implementing bilateral understandings in various economic and trade fields.
