Iran, Qatar FMs hold phone conversation

Qatari Foreign Minister Seikh Mohammad bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani has held talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian on the phone about the latest bilateral, regional and international developments as well as the Vienna talks.

Qatari Foreign Minister Seikh Mohammad bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani has held talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian on the phone about the latest bilateral, regional and international developments as well as the Vienna talks. The two foreign ministers said constant consultations between the two countries over followup of expanding bilateral ties and also exchange of views regarding issues of mutual interest at the regional and international levels are important. During the phone call, the Iranian foreign minister spoke about the Vienna talks and underlined the need for heeding Iran’s national interests and its red lines.
He said the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready for a good, robust and lasting deal. The Qatari foreign minister, who is also the country's deputy prime minister, thanked Iran for its constructive role in the Vienna talks and stressed the need for efforts by all sides to reach a deal.
