Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a phone call on Monday evening to discuss regional developments and issues related to the ceasefire.

Expressing renewed gratitude for Pakistan’s goodwill efforts and mediation in ceasefire-related talks, the Iranian foreign minister described provocative actions and ongoing violations of the ceasefire by the United States—particularly threats and aggression against Iranian commercial ships, as well as contradictory stances and threatening rhetoric against Iran—as a major obstacle to the continuation of the diplomatic process. He emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran, taking all aspects into account, will decide on how to proceed.

The foreign ministers of Iran and Pakistan stressed the importance of continued consultations to help strengthen peace and stability in the region.
