FM Amirabdollahian meets Iranian embassy staff in Damascus

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian met and held talks with Iran’s ambassador diplomats and embassy staff in Damascus on Monday evening as the last schedule on the agenda of his trip to Syria.

During the meeting, the Iranian ambassador lauded the foreign minister and the diplomatic service for the special efforts to quickly follow up on different aspects of the Zionist regime’s aggression against the Iranian consulate in Damascus at bilateral, regional and international levels.

 The Iranian foreign minister also honored and commemorated the martyrs of the recent crime by the Zionists in the attack on the Iranian embassy building.

 He thanked the embassy staff, officials and employees of Iranian institutions as well as the ambassador for their efforts, patience and tactfulness in managing the different dimensions of the incident.

 The foreign minister also praised them for their efforts to pursue the deepening of ties between Tehran and Damascus, and honored the diplomatic staff and their families for their high spirit.

 Amirabdollahian, meanwhile, congratulated his colleagues and their families on Eid al-Fitr in advance.
