Iran Mali FMs stress promotion of bilateral relations

Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amirabdollahian, in a meeting with his Malian counterpart Abdoulaye Diop, discussed and exchanged views on the latest developments in ties between Tehran and Bamako.
Expressing satisfaction with his trip to Mali as well as the talks and deals made in the country, Amirabdollahian stated that Iran is happy with the progress of positive ties between the two countries.
He also stressed that high-ranking Iranian officials highly regard the special view on the development of cooperation with Africa and helping the self-sufficiency of African countries in certain fields.
Amirabdollahian said Iran is ready to hold the second joint commission on cooperation and development of relations between the two countries.
Meanwhile, the Malian foreign minister stressed his country’s solidarity with Iran after the Zionist regime's attack on the Iranian embassy in Damascus.
He stressed, “Mali condemns the terrorist move against Iran, as a brotherly and friendly country, and praises it for its good and appropriate response as well as its spirit of struggle and courage.”
Diop reiterated Mali’s commitment, seriousness and practical measures to expand and bolster its bilateral ties with Iran.
He also congratulated Iran on successfully holding the Iran Expo 2024 and the 2nd Iran-Africa Summit in Tehran
