Iran, Armenia FMs meet on sidelines of UN conference in Geneva
Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi who is in Switzerland to attend the high-level meeting of the UN Human Rights Council and the UN Disarmament Conference held a bilateral meeting with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan on Monday morning.

In the meeting, Araghchi referred to the strong and stable relations between Iran and Armenia, declaring Tehran’s readiness to strengthen bilateral ties in all areas of mutual interest, as well as to protect the stability and security of the South Caucasus region.
He also said it’s essential for all regional countries to continue their efforts to maintain regional stability and security and respect each other’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Araghchi underscored that stability and security in this region require continued regional cooperation and coordination and the absence of unconstructive interventions.
The Armenian foreign minister, in turn, said his country’s relations with Iran are distinguished and very
important.
Mirzoyan described the principled stance of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding respect for Armenia's territorial integrity and the attention of all regional countries to geopolitical sensitivities as highly valuable.
He also underlined Armenia’s determination to enhance relations with Iran in all economic, trade, cultural,and transportation fields.
