Iranian Chinese Foreign Ministers hold phone conversation

.Seyed Abbas Araghchi Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Wang Yi Minister of Foreign Affairs of China held a phone conversation on Wednesday.

During the call, Iran’s Foreign Minister elaborated on the latest regional developments following the establishment of a ceasefire and warned against the dangerous consequences of US provocative positions and actions in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, which will further complicate the situation in the region.

 Expressing gratitude for the responsible decision of China and Russia in opposing the illogical and unilateral draft resolution proposed by the US in the United Nations Security Council regarding regional developments, Iran’s Foreign Minister assessed this action as effective in preventing an escalation of tensions.

 China’s Foreign Minister, praising the resilience and self-reliance of the Iranian nation during the recent war, emphasized Beijing’s readiness to help advance diplomacy and bring an end to the war.
