Iranian Turkish Foreign Ministers hold telephone conversation

 Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, held a telephone conversation on Tuesday.

 Iran’s foreign minister briefed his Turkish counterpart on developments related to the ceasefire and the negotiations between Iran and the United States aimed at ending the war in the region.

 Iran’s foreign minister described the US and Israeli military aggression against Iran as a gross crime against international peace and security, and stressed the responsibility of all states and the United Nations to hold the aggressors accountable, and to prosecute and punish the perpetrators and commanders of the committed crimes.

 Iran’s foreign minister also referred to the escalation of the Israeli regime’s military aggression against Lebanon, emphasizing the Islamic Republic of Iran’s firm support for the legitimate resistance of the Lebanese people against the occupying aggressors.

 Turkey’s foreign minister recalled his country’s support for existing initiatives to end the war across the entire region. He also called for vigilance by all parties regarding the plots of the Israeli regime aimed at perpetuating insecurity and normalizing lawlessness and crime in the region.
