Iran condemns Israeli regime’s crimes against Lebanon

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s brutal attacks on various areas in southern and eastern Lebanon as well as the Dahieh district in the Lebanese capital which have resulted in the martyrdom and injury of a large number of Lebanese civilians the displacement of hundreds of thousands of people and the destruction of infrastructure and residential homes.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s brutal attacks on various areas in southern and eastern Lebanon as well as the Dahieh district in the Lebanese capital, which have resulted in the martyrdom and injury of a large number of Lebanese civilians, the displacement of hundreds of thousands of people, and the destruction of infrastructure and residential homes.

Referring to the escalation of attacks by the occupying regime and the expansion of military assaults to the historic cities of Tyre, Nabatieh, and Sidon, the Foreign Ministry spokesman described the silence and indifference of international bodies, particularly the United Nations Security Council, as a factor emboldening the Israeli regime to continue its aggression and commit further crimes. He stressed that the U.S. administration is regarded as an accomplice and partner in all crimes committed by the Israeli regime in Lebanon, occupied Palestine, and across the region.

The Foreign Ministry spokesman also extended condolences over the martyrdom of Hossam Zeidan, senior correspondent of Al-Alam News Network, to his family, the Al-Alam media organization, and the media community in Lebanon and around the world. Pointing to the killing of more than 300 journalists by the Israeli regime in Palestine and Lebanon over the past three years, he underscored the responsibility of the international community to hold and punish the occupying criminals for committing heinous international crimes.

The Foreign Ministry spokesman praised the legendary patience and steadfastness of the Lebanese people in the face of the Israeli regime’s aggression and occupation. Offering condolences to the families of the martyrs and the people of Lebanon, he reaffirmed the Islamic Republic of Iran’s full solidarity with Lebanon in defending the country’s sovereignty, dignity, and independence against the colonial and expansionist ambitions of the occupying Zionist regime.
