Lebanese Hezbollah delegation meets with Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran

A Lebanese Hezbollah delegation headed by Mohammad Fneish and accompanied by a number of Hezbollah members of parliament and senior officials traveled to Tehran as the representative of Sheikh Naim Qassem Secretary-General of Hezbollah to attend the ceremony held to bid farewell and pay tribute to the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution  Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei. The delegation met on Saturday afternoon with Seyed Abbas Araghchi Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

A Lebanese Hezbollah delegation, headed by Mohammad Fneish and accompanied by a number of Hezbollah members of parliament and senior officials, traveled to Tehran as the representative of Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary-General of Hezbollah, to attend the ceremony held to bid farewell and pay tribute to the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution,  Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei. The delegation met on Saturday afternoon with Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Mohammad Fneish conveyed the warm greetings and message of condolence from Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary-General of Hezbollah, to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the President, the Government, and the people of Iran. He extended condolences over the martyrdom of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei, members of his family, as well as a number of military commanders, officials, and Iranian citizens who were martyred in the brutal aggression carried out by the United States and the Zionist regime.

The representative of the Hezbollah Secretary-General praised the resilience and steadfastness of the Iranian nation, the powerful defense mounted by the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the professionalism of Iranian negotiators in the diplomatic arena, particularly Iran's support for Lebanon's territorial integrity and national sovereignty.

For his part, Foreign Minister Araghchi sincerely thanked the Hezbollah delegation for attending the farewell and tribute ceremony for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution and for conveying Sheikh Naim Qassem's message of condolence. He described Hezbollah's courageous resistance against the conspiracies of the Zionist occupying regime as a source of pride for Lebanon and the Islamic world, and reaffirmed the Islamic Republic of Iran's continued support for the cause of resistance.

Honoring the memory of the late Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and all martyrs of the Lebanese resistance, Araghchi stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran is pursuing with determination the demand for an end to the war in Lebanon and the termination of the occupation, in accordance with the first clause of the Memorandum of Understanding on ending the imposed war.
