Iranian Qatari FMs discuss regional developments by phone

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Qatars Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani held a telephone conversation on Wednesday.

During the call, the two sides exchanged views on regional developments, particularly the recent events in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as a number of issues of mutual interest.

They emphasized the importance of making use of diplomatic channels to address regional issues and stressed the need to maintain consultations and coordination in order to prevent further escalation of tensions across the region.
