Iran’s Bagheri, Algeria FM blast Zionist regime’s assassination of Hamas political chief ,urge OIC meeting
Iran’s caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Bagheri held talks with Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf and exchanged views on the fallout of the terrorist move by the Zionist regime to martyr Ismail Haniyeh the head of the political office of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas.

The interim Iranian foreign minister expressed gratitude to the Algerian House of Representatives speaker for participating in the swearing-in ceremony of the Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian.
Bagheri underscored that the Zionist regime has crossed the Islamic Republic of Iran’s red line by assassinating Haniyeh inside Iran, warning it will definitely use its legitimate and inherent right to decisively and effectively punish the criminal Zionists.
He further appreciated Algeria's support for holding an emergency UN Security Council meeting to probe the Zionist regime’s criminal move to assassinate Haniyeh.
The senior Iranian diplomat also stressed on the need to hold an emergency meeting of the foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to look into the criminal move in order to come up with a decision.
For his part, the Algerian foreign minister supported the Islamic Republic of Iran’s initiative to hold an urgent OIC meeting to confront the Zionist regime’s terrorist moves.
Underlining the Algerian government and people’s stance, he strongly denounced the Zionist regime's crime of assassinating Haniyeh in Iranian territory and breaching the Islamic Republic of Iran’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
