Iranian Turkish Foreign Ministers Hold Phone Talks
..
Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, held a phone call with Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, to discuss and exchange views on regional developments and the consequences of the ongoing US and Israeli regime’s military aggression against Iran.
Iran’s foreign minister, while expressing appreciation for the efforts of Turkey and some regional countries to halt the US and Israeli regime’s aggressions against Iran, briefed his Turkish counterpart on the latest developments.
Araghchi characterized the request for negotiations amid continued aggression and the dispatch of forces and military equipment to the region to commit further crimes against the Iranian people as a sign of contradiction in the Americans’ words and actions. Noting that Iran was not the initiator of this imposed war and is defending its national sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity against the aggressors, he emphasized: “All countries in the region and the international community are expected to responsibly condemn the aggressions and crimes committed by the US and Israel, and hold the aggressors accountable for their flagrant violation of international law and their attack on Iran.”
Hakan Fidan, noting his ongoing consultations with certain regional countries, underscored his country’s commitment to efforts aimed at helping to stop the war.
